"Wir waren zu zweit Ende Oktober (in der absoluten nach Saison) in der Jägerklause zum Essen. Ende Oktober haben fast alle anderen Gaststätten im Zillertal geschlossen. Daher ist die Wahl mal wieder auf die Jägerklause gefallen. Nachdem wir schon mehrere Jahre nicht mehr dort waren, haben wir die Jägerklause mal wieder besucht. Die Gaststätte war bis auf zwei weitere Tische komplett leer. Die Bedienungen waren sehr sehr freundlich. Zu essen gab es einmal Wildmedaillons und eine Forelle. Zu trinken ein Weißbier und ein Rotwein. Die Wildmedaillons und die Forelle waren wirklich sehr gut, was gefehlt hat war vielleicht ein kleiner Beilagensalat. Die Preise bewegen sich im oberen Mittel. die Wildmedaillons kosteten 19 €, die Forelle (wie gesagt ohne Salat nur mit einer Kartoffel) zwölf Euro. Zum satt werden war es jedoch ausreichend, der Geschmack, wie schon erwähnt , ausgezeichnet. In der Gaststube hat sich vermutlich seit den siebziger Jahren nicht viel verändert. Die Einrichtung sieht so aus wie damals. Was jedoch nicht heißen soll das es ungemütlich oder dreckig war. Vielmehr fühlt man sich in der Zeit um Jahre zurückversetzt."
