"Awesome experience. The food was amazing and the owner was so helpful and attentive. The time he took to explain how each dish is traditionally eaten was delightful. Even tho he was booked out, he squeezed us in before the rush. We had the fried chicken, spicy BBQ pork and hot stone beef bipimbap, all were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back every time we are in town"

"Exquisite perfectly balanced seafood dishes. We have been to majority of restaurants in Newcastle and the food at Scottie’s restaurant is 10/10. We had the fresh oysters which had a beautiful kaffir lime dressing, the crab dumplings with pops of ginger and chilli in a delicious broth (ask for bread! and the whole baked flounder which was the highlight; the sauce being the best we have ever tried with a simple salad of fresh greens in a simple dressing but perfectly balanced. All of this topped up with home made tiramisu…..we will be back again and again to try to the rest of this menu. The chef really knows their stuff, the staff friendly and the atmosphere romantic with the right lighting and candles. Our new favourite!!"

"My family was wanting takeway during the holiday period and fish & chips were wanted.We sought a family pack the quality was the issue and we asked to avoid some fish.When we arrived home with the package it included this fish only and chips which were soggy and greasy.I could never recommend this location again!!"

"They still advertise hand cut chips on their web site - they lie. They are now frozen chips that are no longer gluten free. None if their menu is gluten free any more. This is yet another place not to eat in Newcastle. I would not recommend it to any one. Service is rushed, impersonal and incredibly slow- I stood in line for 20 min to be told there was a 35 min wait for food. On double checking, none of there food is gluten free any more.DISGUSTED"
