"Especially after adapting to the mayor Magrath South DQ in Lethbridge, where a large deck is hardly halfway filled, it was a pleasant experience to get a really big one here in Coaldale. The staff is quite pleasant and friendly, and although the surface of this DQ is much smaller than the average, it is well maintained and comfortable."

"I have eaten at this restaurant more times than I could ever hope to recall in my forty-one years on the road. This is a local cafe that opens early and closes early. Taber is a farming community albeit, a very rich farming community. Irrigation...bolsters the rich soil to produce some of the best crops (anyone heard of Taber corn? . Some of the farming equipment running around in the fields is GPS guided and costs more than my house! Folks visiting the Rex want hot coffee, more hot coffee and solid eats as they catch up on the current community happenings. This restaurant has always been family run and Deb took it over from her parents. Breakfast was included at the Super 8 I had just checked out of but, I hadn't been back to the Rex since my long time account retired. It was like stepping back through time. The smell, the old tables, the loud conversation, the immediate coffee service and how could I ever forget, the crisp bacon, eggs over easy, white toast and peanut butter? It is a one way trip back to a time long ago. If you find yourself travelling through Taber and are up for nostalgia, stop in and say hi to Deb. She will welcome you with her trademark smile."

"I came on drive thru yesterday and they gave me the wrong order and I came back all the way from work to replace it and the girl at the window(Rekha) and she was super nice and replaced my order without any argument and apologized for the mistake."
