"There is a difference between quirky/ kitsch an Junk shop grubby in terms of decoration and in this case it is the latter. Perhaps it was fun and funky back in it's day but that was some time ago. The clutter is just plain grubby,...dirty and Junk shop knackered. This isn't shabby chic, just plain shabby. Sadly the food and service match the decoration. Some time ago their heart was in it but that has long gone.Ponderous service with misorders, mistakes and drinks and dishes not delivered. Vegetables that you can see sitting ina big pot of mush in the kitchen that are then reheated. How can fish not be fresh in a restaurant yards from one of the best markets in Brittany? Poor steaks. The toilet has a broken seat that pinches you if you sit on it- in fact the loo sums the place up. Best avoided. The next night we went to the quirky yet wonderful Le surf de Josephin"e along the coast in St Briac. This restaurant was everything bis is not."

"Michael Pauwels and Marijke Adam, a native of Belgium, have been working in the restaurant business for years in Belgium and the USA. They wanted to open something they could call themselves. With their combined experience they opened the Globe Dine Bar on 28. July 2011 with globally inspired seasonal cuisine and an exclusive selection of Belgian craft shops. Michael and Marijke are always the perfect hosts in the dining room and behind the bar. The ambience has a neighborhood bar but still feel European. The tables are wrapped in European country highlights. We sat at the Greek table representing pictures of Athens and special dishes such as Gyros. The music is streamed from Belgium with very few commercials – big music selection from 80s rock and news updates in French."
