Already in the morning we had reserved ourselves in the barn when we went through the beautiful old town, and rushed back at 14:30. Although relatively early, there is a warm kitchen. It started to sneak when we arrived late. Wanderers already met us on the way there or left the village again. After a friendly welcome by the young outdoor service we took place on rustic benches at the tables. A parasol. The cards came fast, the first drinks were quickly listed and served just as quickly. For the first thirst I had a soft Kirner wheat (0.5 3,60€). Then we ordered our food from the rustic and regional map. It's a good thing for some city dwellers, but here everyone finds something. Even vegetarians, seniors and children are thought. In addition, a rich daily offer of homemade cakes and cakes. However, the screen proved too small to keep the stronger rain. First we spread to other tables, but it helped nix. We had no negative corona tests. But fortunately, the junior boss offered us to play for 3€ per piece. Good luck. The liver clot, just for a better arrangement, had the size of a normal tennis ball. In the meantime, I had a second wheat beer. Because the cook meant it well with the use of fresh black pepper. It was hard on the border. For me it was less a problem, but I know some people who had their problems with it. Whatever. The food was really good. The liver clot was not too compact, had a certain flockiness and tasted impeccable, even not too dominant in the liver taste. You can't do the stuff better. Inside spicy chiff and also some coarser meat, very tasty and from the amount comparable to the size of the liver block. The potato measurements around them, from raw and cooked potatoes, were simply perfect. As mentioned, it's not better. The art is actually to get this monstrum, even without it falling apart. How big do the pots have to be here? The bacon sauce didn't really honor her name. Pepper cream better. Some small bacon cubes had already lost in it, but Muskat was more costly. But in the end, it was all the same, even the applemus I once say, he was bought, harmonized very well with the defense court. What a lucky day had only 17° outside. At 30° in the shadow, I would have gone to the smoked trout. So it fits, and I am this solid but perfectly made soul food of my home kitchen good 4*. We were all bally and tired. A few surrendered when the huge parts, but not surprised. But it is only a pity if, for example, about half the potato sausage has to go back, as it had a basic weight of certainly 300 – 400 grams. Even if there are a few bits that care. Speaking of cleaning. Also our and the other tables were covered with a transparent plastic table cloth, the standard table cloths could be seen among them. However, it can be kept so much better clean. It's not really nice, but useful. Then everyone paid for themselves, as proof there was a typical host house entrance on the brewery note. Rich tip was safe. Because the service wanted him in such a place. But above all warm and firm. No question I'll come back here when it comes. Just to take a closer look at the beautiful little town. Because I had too little time this day."

"Schnitzels are big and they taste fine. That's where it stops. They charge 1.50 EURO for TAP water! No, I am not talking about bottled water, but tap water from the kitchen sink faucet. And do not get anything other than schnitzel, as it is...not good. The Sauerbraten, which should fall apart with a fork, required hacking with a knife and chewing endessly as it was so rubbery. Wen the waitstaff was told, they were surly, and still charged a partial charge for the meal because a bite was taken ! No kidding.....I mean how else do you taste it to find out it is that bad? Finally, for the reviewer who said cool theme, and looks like what you expect for a real German restaurant......well, it is about as fake German decor as Disneyworld. I mean it is like calling an Olive Garden, real Italian decor. If you want a real German gasthaus go to some small one in a German town, and you will see how superficially fake this decor is......ideal for the GI's families who haven't been to real gasthauses, I guess, but please don't consider this echt (real) German/Bavarian decor.... sadly, we will not go back, and cannot recommend it. I would again say, stay away, and try to find something really authentic instead of this cheap knock off......."
