"When I first saw it, I was worried they gave me tofu. I was wrong. There are huge pieces of delicious vegan “ chickens”. I also have the crispy veggie rolls that were great. I have lived here for ten years and never knew about this place, I will definitely be back!"

"From the beginning, with a steaming hot towel for our hands, I was in love. the 5 star ratings are not! modern asia has amazing food! I had hot and sour soupe, yaum garnelen, thai basil chicken and a large wall sunrise. my native king had honeybread pork, chicken panang curry and the French birne. every dish/drink was fantastic! I even said at one point, okay, I'd go to frederick to eat here regularly. the waiting staff was incredibly attentive without suffocating. drinks were filled. really awesome hole in the wall. we're coming back!"

"I?d give these guys 1,000 stars if I could!! I cannot stress enough how incredibly happy I am with Sanctuary Modern Kitchen!!! These guys are true heroes! They are a 100% gluten free bakery who make the most delicious empanadas ever!! My best friend was diagnosed with Celiac a few years ago and all she wanted at her bridal shower was empanadas like the ones my mom used to make for her when she would come over. After searching online for a dedicated gluten free kitchen thatmade empanadas, Sanctuary came up, but they were an hour and a half away from where the shower was taking place. I took a shot and called them anyways to see if there was something we could do, and these guys pulled through big time!!! Theymet me half way and delivered the most delicious empanadas I could imagine in an extremely professional and orderly way: individually wrapped and in a cooler full of ice for the drive home. The empanadas were an absolute hit at the party,and everyone was shocked to hear that they were gluten free. Even my mom, the empanadas connoisseur, gave them her highly coveted seal of approval. Absolutely phenomenal! My friend actually actually screamed with delight when she saw themand couldn?t stop eating them. Thank you guys so so much!! You made her day and mine :"

"Reminds me of Germany, without the actual travel. Just had to check out the former Five Guys on Carroll Creek. Because the location is in the high rent district of Frederick, you can expect to pay a bit higher, and damn it all, the Maryland imposed sin tax of 9% on any alcohol becomes too obvious when you sample any of that beverage style and just ruins any possibility of simple enjoyment. OK, I said what I had to say.<br/>The menu is simple, typical Doner Kebab offerings. Based on what I had (frozen veal patty, deep fried on a brotchen with lettuce) Not very German, but tasty, once you put some salt on the meat and spice up the flavor, OTW way too bland. I would suggest that you stick with the beers or the wines they offer a lot of them and at various price points. Frankly, I did enjoy the atmosphere, on the creek, with friends, a little too much beer, almost like Germany. I would do it again, just for the experience."
Admirable is this small yet fine Bistro, not only for its ambiance, but also for its range of typical, delectable meals usually at reasonable prices, But above all, there are traditional German menus with the right sides like fries as well as salads.
