"This place is just wonderful. Convenient hours 11AM-11PM. Walking distance from Downtown Encinitas and Moonlight State Beach. And most important: SO MANY FLAVORS. We went twice in the span of three days! PS: I was told by locals this location was a Handels Ice Cream. There is one in my neighborhood but it was not as good as this place!"

"Saw all the stellar reviews and heard great things from friends. But we were massively disappointed. Two of our three dishes were pretty bad ? one of the two was borderline inedible. We started with the fried squid and shrimp with veggies appetizer. It came to the table and was a comically large mound of food for two people. The squid was overly breaded and had no flavor, the shrimp was extremely over cooked, and it all came on a bed of mostly sweet potato fries and some fried carrots. The veggies were tasty but strange pairing with seafood. We left probably half of it uneaten. For dinner we had the meat stuffed tortellini in Parmesan cream sauce and the lasagna. There?s no other way to say it ? the lasagna was awful. Visually, it was shockingly unappealing. Then we dove in ? the texture was mushy and mealy and chunky all at the same time. The taste was just inedible. We each had a couple bites then politely put it to the side. The tortellini we were split on ? I thought it was overly salty and too dense. My boyfriend thought it was pretty good. We both agreed the sauce was too thick and almost paste-like. Not the most important thing but the bread was really disappointing too. Maybe supply issues because pics of bread from reviews are not at all the same as what we got. Maybe the kitchen was having an extremely off night, who knows. Service, like everyone says, was wonderful and the wine list was great. The patio is beautiful at night. Unfortunately all that doesn?t make it enough to return."

"I moved away to Seattle in 95 and miss going there. It was the best bagel anywhere around, much like actual NJ ones. Owners and I became friends but it's been so long I've managed to forget their names. I'm pleased to see they are still in business, assuming they've not sold out. Should I ever get near there I will visit for sure!"

"The hardest part about coming to Richard Walker's Pancake House is deciding on which dish to order!! This last time I got the apple pancake, worth the extra 20 minutes to cook it. And then, they had the audacity to let the smell of ? drift my way and I had to get that too. Ugh, their bacon is sooo good. Omar provided great service and my friend enjoyed her waffle flight. Love this place!!"
