"We were in St. George and read the reviews for a romantic dinner. Well, that was a joke. We were seated in what appeared to be a garage. It looked like the doors opened in the nice weather. Did I say windows. They were so dirty that looking out was difficult. The room was loud. Don't know how it could be romantic. We were seated against the wall. The women sat with their backs to the wall, The men sat facing a T.V. This wasn't the bar. The stream was the food channel. It changed to a program on transvestites, then a gay bar. We have nothing against either but really in a room billed as a romantic restaurant. When we asked one of the waiters if they could turn the TV off we were told that he was the owner. It was his restaurant and the T.V. was for ambience. REALLY! The kitchen and staff were overtaxed. They needed more help. We ordered the fois gras . It was $14 for an order. We planned on sharing. The plate came out. It was about the size of my two pinkie fingernails. It was over cooked with a burnt taste on the edges.. It came with a green that was the same size. No dressing, just a plan piece of something. We ordered the veal. It was delicious, Very tender. The macaroni that came with it had a sauce that tasted pasty and canned. The mushrooms in it were good. We were foolish enough to order dessert. Sugar pie. What else when you are in this area. They sold sugar pies in the store next to the restaurant. Can't remember the exact price at the most $10.00 for a pie. The pieces served were so tiny we figured they made about $64.00 on a pie. If you want a romantic meal wait til you get home or try a different restaurant. This certainly didn't fit the bill. The meal was way over priced. The service was much to slow. We enjoy a relaxing meal but we don't want to grow old waiting for it. As a matter of fact, one of the servers came and asked how our meal was. We responded that we hadn't gotten it yet. Funny it came right out. How long was it sitting? Junior when you say ambiance you need to visit some restaurants to see what the word means. In our vocabulary the food channel and gay bars on the TV in what was to be a dinning room just didn't do it."

"I went to the restaurant a few days ago. I wanted to dine in but inavertantly lined up for drive through. Since I could not reverse, I purchased the food and then parked to go inside to eat. However, I was asked to leave because I brought food from outside which gave me a sour feeling. As I do not speak French, I could not explain what happened."

"The poutine here is the absolute best in all of Quebec. Every year when we visit family in St Georges, we come here for the poutine....several times during the week we are there. Seriously, the best poutine! Casual, good for families, and economical. Do your taste buds a favor and go there for your poutine. You won't be disappointed!"
