"During our trip through Mexico we were staying in Acapulco for four nights. We had a room in the Boca Chica Hotel, which is just next door from this place. We didn't stay close to the "action" on purpose, we wanted to stay in a more (touristy) remote area, that's why we chose the Boca Chica on Caletilla.Caletilla Beach, where this restaurant - actually a Palapa - is located, is a small and very local beach. Families hang out and eat here together. I was the only white guy around (on all four days). And it actually felt very nice to sit between the locals and to enjoy the nice, laid-back atmosphere here on the beach. There's lots of restaurants here and all looke pretty similar. We just chose a place where lots of locals were eating. And it was a brillant choice in the end. This place serves a good range of different seafood and fish. The restaurants here get their fish from the local fishermen - bought on the same day as served. We came here every day...it was just so good and the mood and atmosphere here so great. We had lots of different kinds of fish. Filet or whole. Very good is the "Diabla", which is very spicy. Also very good is the fish "sol"...it's like a fish filet fried in an omelette. Unusual, but great! The whole fried fish (Snapper) was perfectly cooked. Crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. Everything we had was wonderful, except the Pulpo and the Ceviche were a bit average....but still a lot better than in many restaurants. The only thing that can get a bit annoying are the vendors here on the beach....there's at least one every 30 seconds. A friendly "No, gracias" mostly does it...but all the time...well...We had the same waiter every day. A great guy named Diego. He always (from the first day) got us a good table...even brought one from the back when there was none available. On the second, third and fourth visit he even bought us a beer (actually four on the last day) ... he always had one too and drank with us. A great guy. We didn't really speak spanish much and he didn't really talk english, but somehow we understood each other and had some good conversations.Experiences like this is what makes a vacation very special. And this place and Diego really made Acapulco unforgettable for us. If you are around this area, you really need to get to El Mariachi and grab some food....or at least a beer. Of course, if you look for a party...music...and all that stuff, then this isn't for you. But if you wanna hang out with the locals and see that side of Acapulco/Mexico...then this is it!Wanna know more about my trips? "Pacos (the one located in the centre of Acapulco) has been long time one of my favorite restaurants. After a couple of years, I returned and found it closed, with a banner, telling that they had been shut down by the municipality and were now in Costera Miguel Aleman. They are now in two other locations. Costera Miguel Aleman and in Punta Diamante. We went to the Costera Aleman location. Well it was weekend and full. We had to wait a little bit, but this was interesting too.At the time we have been there, the staff seemed pretty unorganized. Nobody received us. So we tried to find an empty table, without having success. Than we had to hunt down a waiter, to ask, if he could put us in line for the next table to be free. He organized than the upsetting of another table, we were seated.According to there location, the food is quite pricy. Much more, than the old restaurant in the centre. Perhaps the rent of this location is so high, they had to increase their prices.Portions (specially the seafood soup) were smaller than I had been accustomed and service regular. The toilets need more frequent cleaning and perhaps also a renovation. I think this was my last visit to this restaurant, as there are many options in Acapulco.May be, it was a bad day for the restaurant (such things happen)."
In beautiful weather you can even eat and drink in the outdoor area.

Look forward to the diverse, fine Mexican cuisine, traditionally prepared with corn, beans and chilies (hot peppers), and you can look forward to the scrumptious typical seafood cuisine.

"This was our third visit to A Roma Bistro for the Sunday Buffet. Each time there was a different variety so you never get bored. The food is all fresh and very tasty. The salad bar is fresh and good variety, The juice selection amazing. A sushie bar, a ceviche bar where they make it up fresh for you as you like it, an omelette bar, a good selection of hot foods and plenty of seafood as well as pork and beef. There is grilled food outside as well! There is something for everybody, even pizza (not my choice) The place is very pretty as well and very clean and modern looking. The staff are friendly and very attentive. You get very good food and plenty of beverages for the money. Dessert is fabulous as well. Will definitely return!"

"Te ofrecen pagar por barra libre y como a la 1 de la mañana te dicen que si quieres bajar libre tienes que irte a la parte de abajo, que solo ahí seguirán sirviendo, de otro modo si deseas estar en la parte de arriba en donde originalmente estabas tienes que pagar por copeo. Mala atención, sucio y te sirven el refresco sin gas... Música muy vieja, muy ordinarios."

"I had a great meal there. Prices are reasonable and service is good. I couldn't come back on this visit but I will next time. I loved the octopus and the sopes. The waiters can explain what's on every dish but I'm not sure if...they're bilingual."
