"I had a good experience here. The trains were delayed because of weather so I wasn't going to be able to make the checkin time, but I called ahead and they extended it to give me more time. It was easy to find. When I arrived they didn't speak much English, but they do give you a pamphlet that has English translations with the cafe hours, the codes to the doors, and useful items that receptions sells if you need it. The futon was comfortable, and they even provide lockers to put some small things. There is a lamp and an outlet in each bedding area. There is a small common area next to the balcony on the top floor that's a little small to be comfortable, but the balcony is relatively spacious. The cafe and hostel staff were all incredibly kind and helpful."

"Of the two places I tried falafel in Sendai, this is the one I’d return to. First, the food: the hummus was delicious, and really hit the spot. The falafel pita was also very good, even if some of the components felt unnecessary (such as the 3 cold French fries stuck on top), and there are several naturally vegan and vegetarian options. The vibe is great, with the owner (and seemingly sole staff member) bringing a very laid-back, relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. If you’re looking for falafel or hummus in Sendai, this is a good place to come."
A visit to Zaytoon becomes even more rewarding due to the large range of coffee and tea specialties, there are also delectable vegetarian dishes on the menu.
