"Yesterday my wife invited me to La Table to celebrate my 71th birthday. We had been delighted last year by a splendid dinner at the the Thai restaurant in Castigno village, and vowed to have another treat at La Table. We love not to be disappointed by restaurants. We are ready to pay the right price for a decent meal, that is a meal which leaves you not, with the unpleasant feeling that you have been cheated upon. Yesterday, we had the experience of a lifetime. By far the best restaurant meal in our entire life. All the expected ingredients were there : the setting (so tasteful, chic and not overdone in any way), the staff hospitality (here something approaching perfection), and professionalism , discretion and total respect of the customer even when we don’t drink wine! The neatness and comfort of the table etc etc And now, what comes into your plate. I chose to start with a drink however. There is no word to describe the quality and refinement of the appetisers that went with it (provided for two when only one apéritif had been ordered). When booking at La Table, you choose to trust experts with the surprise they have prepared for you. No menu , no carte. Only your choice of three, five or seven dishes. What a clever concept, which can only be based on confirmed professionalism and expertise! You want to take no risk. I will not get into the details of what was served to us yesterday. The appropriate vocabulary and adjectives would fail to convey my feelings and would not do justice to the perfection and level achieved by the two chefs. To put it in a nutshell, I would only say here what I asked the waiters to repeat to the cooks : you do deserve your first star in the Michelin ranking. The second should follow in a not too distant future. It is bound to happen. And of course I had the privilege to congratulate one of the two artists in person upon leaving that magic place. One final point, last but not least, should be made : 38€ for the three course meal of a lifetime just sounds totally unreal. And then, good value for money is utter understatement ... if one day you have 38€ to spend a great (the adjective is weak) experience, book at La Table in Castigno village."

"We come to France for great food experiences. In Languedoc they have been hard to come by. Some friends pointed us to Brigitte and her restaurant and we are so happy they did. Completely rustic and quaint setting and both Brigitte and her husband Patrick emanate a quiet soulfulness and love of what they do. It's a small place with chalkboard menus, but all the food is of the terroir and sometimes when it is really good and also busy things run out. C'est la vie!The wine recommendation, the carpaccio starter, the braised lamb and the desserts were all both simple and perfect. Both French and English are acceptable. We will be back next week before we head home!"
Auberge de l'Ecole from Babeau-Bouldoux is a good place for a bar to a drink after work and be able to sit with friends or alone, Furthermore, the visitors of the restaurant enjoy the large variety of the differing coffee and tea specialities that the restaurant has available. The spicy Spanish meals from the kitchen of the restaurant are also worth it, Furthermore, the delicious treats of this local sparkle not only in the eyes of our young guests.
