"My husband and I had had a bad day and had to cancel our original dinner plans in Doolin and had trouble finding a place to eat near the B&B we were staying at in Shannon that had food we both could eat and that was open, so we settled on this place. I wasn 't sure what items on the menu might be vegan, so I asked if they had a vegan menu. That was the first time ever that I even asked that in a restaurant because I knew that some restaurants actually DO have vegan menus that they 'd be happy to show you and I thought I 'd give that a try. I 'm very shy about making a fuss about anything, so just asking if they had one was a bit out of my comfort zone as it was and of course, I was polite about it. Why was that so annoying to him? So unprofessional. Also, dude...There are other things on the menu that are vegan than just the salads. Sheesh. I just wanted to be sure what all my options were.
