"Let's be honest: The shelter itself is quite average. Very friendly service in deed, even if the animal owner obviously had a lot of work due to the fact that we came on a sunny winter Sunday, but the place is actually nothing special. So... I would go for a 3-star rating, but people, this view is just unbeatable. They sit there right in front of Eiger, Mönch Jungfrau, the three iconic peaks of the Bernese Oberland. So 4 stars it is as you will not forget this view!"
The large selection of coffee and tea specialties makes a visit to SAC Suls-Lobhornhutte even more worthwhile, Forbreakfast a versatile brunch is offered here. You can also look forward to fine vegetarian cuisine.

"To be fair, I did not try out all the foods in Murren, but in general everything was just OK, which makes sense, it is very difficult to get/delive. This food is really tasteful and delicious and the couple that runs the restaurant is super beautiful...! Great comfort eating after a long day of hiking."

"We are here for dinner twice at our two-day stay in Lauterbrunnen. It had the most vegan options on a clearly selected menu. The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. There are not many options in the city for a vegan dinner and we have it here so much we came in the second night. It is nice to have other options than a veggie burger that seems to be the mass of the city. I loved her lentil stew."

"We came across this place on our last morning in the area. we caught the gondola up from Lauterbrunnen and then the train to Murren and then the cable car to Gimmelwald. We popped in for some quick refreshment before heading back. What was lovely was the barman came from Cornwall not far from us and my husband ended up having a good chat about rugby. Will definitely call again next time!"

"Great outdoor deck. We had the steak on the hot stone. It was delicious and came with 3 sauces. Unique and perfectly done. My son didn't enjoy his burger but I think that was because it was swiss cheese. Go figure."

"C'est bien connu, dans les montagnes suisses, on mange tôt. Arrivé "tard" à Mürren, c'est à dire vers 21h00, avec une faim de loup, j'ai été ravi de me sustenter vers 21h30 à l'Eiger Guesthouse Restaurant. Endroit vivant, les hôtes de l'hôtel vont et viennent, certains s'attablent pour un verre, d'autres pour un menu, le personnel est convivial, sympathique, et efficace. L'atmosphère est conviviale, et les plats goûtus (pizzas de bonne facture, pâtes au lard savoureuses, viande citronnée généreuse). Mais ce qui m'a épaté (et fait chavirer mon coeur) c'est la fantastique assiette de fromage d'une générosité et d'une subtilité inoubliable. Accompagnée de miel et de noix, j'en rêve encore la nuit. Avec un pain idéal. Tout est bon dans ce restaurant que je connais depuis des années, mais ne passez pas à côté des fromages. Et c'est un intolérant aux produits laitiers (industriels) qui vous parle. Leur vieille prune est également un délice. A faire au moins une fois lors de votre séjour dans ce village merveilleux."
