"I came to Salento for Xmas with my parents, and I first went to Remesa on the 26th of last month... It is a nice, clean and comfortable place where you can eat amazing local food and drink excellent wine and feel at home.. Nice place, nice people, nice waiters....looking forward to come back again, absolutely! The whole space is full of ancient photos and there is an amazing garden and a wonderful fireplace inside the restaurant. I'm gonna say it again, and I'll repeat it forever: A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!"

"We stayed in an Airbnb (suite lumiere just around the corner from this restaurant and so visited twice for convenience. The first time we sampled two of the pizzas and the second time two of the pastas- lasagne (amazing! and one with sausage and courgette. All was delicious. The only odd thing was we were the only people in there both nights. If you don’t mind that then the food makes it well worth a visit. There was still a nice atmosphere with lowish lighting and music. It was not really high season so perhaps it’s busier in summer and also we like to eat a bit earlier than the Italians generally! Lovely staff and better value for money than other places we tried in the old town."

"Le Tagghiate is a family restaurant. Its Large hall with many tables. The restaurant is also suitable for large groups and families. There is a game room and kids can run around safely. (Therefore the noise level is high). Yet, the food is excellent and the service fast considering the large (large family tables) orders and yet the food quality is not suffered. It is also a recommended place also for couples or individuals who search for a good relaxing dinner in a non-formal atmosphere. I will not recommend it for business meeting. Another plus is that the restaurant has its own parking lot with ample parking spaces."
