"Went with the prix fixe menu. Service was excellent and staff were very attentive. The restaurant was empty. Only my wife and myself and one other couple in a large restaurant. Seemed very odd that the restaurant was nearly entirely empty. The food is prepared with great care. The problem was the marrying of the flavors. The combinations of the food and the flavor of the individual parts did not equal an enjoyable entirety. For instance, the polenta bread was very poor and both my wife and I hardly touched it. It was like grain tree bark. The cost for both of us was quite high (over $500) and we are accustomed to much better Michelin food flavor for this price. Again, the ambiance, service and presentation were top notch. But, the flavor of the food for the cost was disappointing."
