"For $55 the food was as expected, the service was good. Two of u tried each other’s food, so I got to try the calamari entree which was delish, my ocean trout entree wasn’t too shabby either. Mains we tried the spring veg risotto, pretty solid; the steak had a nice char grilled flavour. For dessert we had the white chocolate cheesecake which was just wayyyy too sweet, so we only had a bite each. The cheese platter w Brie was good, the fruit bread was slightly stodgey."

"(Ok I’ve been super lazy with various excuses/reasons such as visiting family, going back to the UK, working full time blah blah blah… There is now a ridiculous amount of backlog so please bear with me! . HOME STRETCH. Last stint of the road trip, and where better to end it than squeezing in a visit to the gorgeous Yarra Valley. Trattoria D’Soumah was a little hide away gem recommended by the blueberry lady!"

"This may be my favourite place I’ve ever eaten, sincerely. I’ve had such positive experiences my last two visits to Tarra Warra. They use fresh ingredients from their vegetable patch, have very knowledgeable waiting staff, a lovely wine selection and most importantly, deliciously different dishes. The kangaroo may be the best protein dish I have ever eaten. Such a stand out in fact that I’d made the 2 hour commute back to try again the week after. The winery also has a sizeable museum and one of the most architecturally beautiful cellar doors I may ever see. Check this one out!"

"I love winery restaurants as they've never disappointed. Having tried Ezard in the city I was very excited to try Ezard Levantine Hill. We came on a weekday and it was surprisingly quiet with only a few other tables. We ordered oysters and foie gras for entree which were both amazing. The foie gras was rich in flavour and creamy. For mains we ordered the whole barramundi and the duck. The barramundi was cooked perfectly and had a beautiful texture. The duck was a little dry but the sauce made up for it. Great flavours and depth. For dessert we couldnt pass up a creme brulee which had a toasty popcorn flavour which I personally didn't like but the boyfriend loved it. Would love to come in on a busier day to enjoy a more upbeat ambience."

"I visited this winery for lunch followed by a wine tasting. The restaurant section has seating inside and outside with lovely views of the hills and fields. For entrees, we had the truffle and mozzarella croquette and the smoked ox tongue both of which were alright. The beef was recommended by the wait staff and this was indeed very nice. It was super moist and delicious and I too would recommend this dish."
