"Had a top lazy afternoon Sunday, yesterday. apparently they have great bands on once a month and if yesterday was anything to go by no head banging music) you will love it. I had a fantastic and tasty platter with some gorgeous local wine never heard of it before) but stunning, will definately go back, sooner rather than later. Staff were courteous, friendly and big time helpful in picking the wine. Top venue. Must try if you are local. Actually, must try if you live in Broken Hill. Very happy and I have to give 5 ."

"Wonderful little cafe with extremely fresh and delicious food, all sourced locally and made lovingly. The coffee is really, really good and so are the desserts made fresh with many options, including gluten free, vegan, etc. For brunch I had smoked salmon with a...poached egg on freshly made herb scones and caper mascarpone. Wow every bite so good! My daughter had a roasted pumpkin and feta wrap, toasted. She's a fussy little madame but she loved every bite too high praise from her. After brunch I couldn't resist some freshly made peach and coconut cake with cream which was so moist and yet crunchy on top. Again top marks. There is much to love about Fleurieu Bites and plenty of healthy take home and heat options if you want something easy for dinner without compromising on taste and quality. Get on it."

"I haven't been to Charlie's for about 6 or 7 years. The last time I went was for a friends birthday and it was terrible. They only had the Asian buffet open, and the roast. Everything else was empty. My partner and I barely ate a thing and what we did eat, made us sick so we swore we'd never go back. Fast forward to last week and family wanted to go, they said they'd been told it had improved. So we decided we'd give it a go. Pleasantly surprised. The food was nice and plentiful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good variety and it was all hot and delicious. We're planning on going back very soon."

"There are lots of choices for cafes in Brighton, and this one seems a pretty middle of the road kind of place. <br>
The Marilyn Monroe photos all over the walls does add a sense of fun to the decor, unfortunately not a trait shared by the staff here who seemed disinterested. <br>
The thing about cafes is that very few of them provide food that stands out, and I'm not a coffee drinker, so friendliness of staff , decor and ambience become important distinguishing characteristics for me.<br>
The decor and ambience, with some nice 70s/80s music in the background met the mark. <br>
In terms of the food and drink, the green tea I ordered (spring morning) was fine enough.<br>
I also ordered a smoked salmon bruschetta with marinated tomato, sour cream and capers. This dish was warm and tasty, and considering I was pretty hungry made for some pretty good eating. The capers, sour cream and tomatoes complemented the smoked salmon. The bruschetta was okay but a little chewier rather than well toasted and I wasn't sure whether the tomatoes really were marinated. It seemed like warm, regular diced tomato to me. Overall I rate the dish a 3.5. <br>
Not a bad place to stop by for some food, but doesn't really stand out."
