"Sat outside on a sunny day, had a beer and their renowned homemade rosti, the best I have had in Basel. Portion not too huge that would stuff you till you drop. English menu available with photos of the dishesOnly 3 tables outside for early dinner, so service was satisfactory though waiter spoke limited English."

"Location is amazing, food is great but despite booking you seemed to have run out of alot no salad, no chocolate mouse. The schnitzel asparagus' vegetarian option was just asparagus so not very vegetarian friendly as that seemed like the only option in the menu. Drinks took a while, food took way too long and we had to remind staff twice to ensure we weren't forgotten about. Ordered a 2nd bottle of wine and it wasn't opened, waited, then asked for someone to open it and we were handed the corkscrew to open the bottle ourselves : which honestly was just adorable more than annoying. Not having enough vegetarian options and running out of an already limited menu was the more annoying part. Having said that, will definitely come back and give it a second try as staff were absolutely amazing!"

"This place is right on the banks of the Rhein not far from the German border. It's run by young people. Alternative furnishings, very friendly service and really good food. Parking options are not so plentiful."

"We stepped in here during carnival for lunch. We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant was booked out by carnival participants. Service was friendly and swift. Very atmospheric with carnival memorabilia. Sadly the typical carnival food of flour soup, cheese pie and a salad was very average. Price was sfr 67 for two with two glasses of wine so not cheep either."
