"Quite disappointed comparing this restaurant next to a round about, railways, main road Milano-Bellinzona and HIGHWAY all together.Few meters from Bissone public beach...Nice welcoming and kindness but complete loss of energy compared to so many great places around. Al Faro, Cantinone, Soave 10, Moscotte, the new restaurant up the Monte Generoso (by special small train) to reach the last masterpiece Fiora di Pietra of great intern' Mario Botta, and Palace Café on the fantastic square created in front of the LAC (Lugano Arte è Cultura). In Lugano, Locarno and Ascona, and in the incredible old Italian city of Bellinzona restaurants are led with enthusiam and great energy. La Palma is more old fashion style and slow. Good fresh food and good pricrs.But why not try yourself."

"This place looks very ordinary from the road but go in and you are in for a very special surprise.My wife and I spend a week every year in Ticino and never fail to make a detour to this superb restaurant. I think that this year was about our 12th visit and we have never been disappointed.This year I had a seafood soup which was excellent and my wife had a salad which was fresh and tasty. For our mains I had squid and my wife had guinea fowl, both were well presented and delicious.I agree with a previous review that one can get a little carried away and spend more that planned but diners will not be disappointed.I once had swordfish and it was far better than I had previously sampled on the Mediterranean islands."
