"Our first time to Thai Bistro. We had heard mixed reviews, but we were hopeful. The restaurant itself is in a nice screened-in porch next to a small swimming pool that has floating flowers. There are fans mounted on the walls, which on a hot summer night will be great. We ordered spring rolls, basil stir fry with chicken and chicken pad Thai. Kullanit was friendly and chatty. However, the food was below average. The spring rolls were tasteless and the sweet and sour dipping sauce not great. The basil stir fry had no visible basil in it and was rather greasy. The pad Thai was like no pad Thai I have had anywhere. I've travelled in Thailand and had great Thai food there and in the USA, Canada, and New Zealand. The pad Thai had no flavor, no peanuts or lemon and again pretty greasy.We ate maybe half of what was served. I'm sorry I can't give a more positive review. My friend said she would try it again, which I thought generous. Most of the people dining there were repeat customers from the discussions we heard. Maybe it was a bad night. I'd love for it to be successful."

"Last night dinner with wife and friends, I had baked grouper with veggies and potatoes, the potatatoes were done in a French style, baked sort of standing up. Oh my goodness, pretty soon we were all eating them off my plate! Carlos is one of the best, his food is as good or better than I have had anywhere in the world. And what a great guy, with excellent service, and on the beach!!"
