"The service was very good. The food was even better! Everything was hot and delicious. I had the Flounder with Fritten and Cole Slav, and it contained three hush puppies. It was great. The frit on the fish was perfect, even the frits and nothing was fat. I definitely go back."

"I’ve been stopping at this Williamson location for years! A couple of the former managers still keep in touch with me. This long John has always been completely awesome. Great food! I love Long John's fried fish and their hush puppies, shrimp, and everything else. I’ve had the whole menu, and I don’t think there’s anything I don’t like. There aren't too many places where I can say I’ve never had at least one bad experience. Here, I can say I’ve never had even one bad experience, truthfully! They are awesome people and treat you with respect. When you enter, they always say welcome to Long John’s or sometimes even call you by name! At the drive-thru, you get a warm greeting. They truly care about their customers."

"Purdy's offers you a true fishery that cooks the fresh catch near the docks. Depending on the month you go in the summer, you could have your selection of perch, walleye or whitefish. The restaurant is actually a metal building near the water that they fry the fish in. There are picnic tables very near the water where you eat and have a great view up and down the river. Sometimes the batter is a little heavy, but the fish is very good and you get a lot of food for the money."
