"Recently was in OCNJ for some much needed vacation time. Was told to try out 16th street seafood and we ended up ordering takeout from there twice! Prices are very reasonable in my book, food was good and plentiful and staff was welcoming and friendly. Why are you still reading this, go and order food!!"

"Good food is far and few between in Ocean City (unless you like the junk food on the boardwalk), so it was a real surprise to find this little seafood market.Probably the best broiled scallops I have had in years. Perfectly cooked and so tender it must have come off the boat that morning. And the sides? Absolutely delicious- baked potato (I know, how hard is it to bake a potato- but so many restaurants find new and interesting ways to screw it up), and corn on the cob perfectly done. These people know how to cook!"

"The first thing you notice about The Island Grill is how cute it is. Up in the North End where houses are and noise is not, it stands out as a landmark and a tradition for hundreds, maybe thousands, of vacationing families. The next thing you notice is it 's crazy busy! Just try getting in without a 40 minute plus wait! You can, but only right at 4 pm when they open or if you are a graduate of Hogwarts. The outside dining is great, especially on days where the breeze comes off the ocean 2 blocks away. It 's covered, so no worries if a front passes through. The service is consistently good. Our recent server TJ was funny, engaging and also helpful making tough menu decisions. For appetizers, nothing beats the Wham Bam Shrimp, glazed and spicy and similar to what you would get at Bonefish Grill or other chains but fresh and definitely homemade. If you love it and want to double down there 's a dinner salad with Wham Bam Shrimp in it. Plus it 's fun to say! Burgers are fine, and if you have a taste for the exotic they have rare meats: bison, kangaroo, that sort in season. I don 't know when the kangaroo season runs, but it doesn 't matter because this boy is not ordering anything featured in a Winnie the Pooh story. I recently ordered the half rack of baby back ribs. They were not fall off the bone but they were plenty moist and tender, and the BBQ sauce was sweet, tangy and plentiful. My wife got the Lobster Ravioli with sage cream sauce. She was worried 6 ravioli wasn 't going to be filling but ended up taking some home! She raved about the sauce, which was the same sauce used on my daughter 's salmon pasta. She also ended up taking some home but the leftovers held up to microwaving and didn 't last 24 hours in the fridge: they both attacked them for lunch the next day. All in all a great time and a decent (not remarkable value for a beach town in August, a nice restaurant that always has a line and doesn 't take reservations because they don 't have to. Six of us, no dessert (no room! and no drinks (OCNJ is dry was almost exactly $200 before tip. You could spend most of that almost anywhere on the island and not be half as happy afterwards; or have leftovers for the next day. I docked them the fifth star because there truly is no way to access the restaurant on a whim, without significant wait time and/or a strategy. During our recent visit, my strategy was to sit outside in the breeze for approximately 50 minutes while the other members of my family showered, changed and waited for my call. As we stayed only a few doors away, one text of, Avengers assemble! was enough to send them running, hungry and, ultimately, happy."
