"We visited La Savie for dinner. The restaurant was quiet but we were warmly welcomed by Melanie and,subsequently, by the chef Frederic Marchant. The location is quiet and off the beaten track but absolutely worth the visit. Frederic is focussed on quality ingredients (some of which are grown in the restaurant gardens). The converted barn is intimate and charming. The food was inventive, beautifully presented and even catered for 2 vegetarians in our party of Five people. If there was a weakness it was that the desserts (tiramisu and crime brûlée) were not up to the standard if the starters and main courses. The menu (fixed price) changes regularly according to the available seasonal ingredients. The wine list is well presented and includes some excellent local wines. All in all, this is a lovely restaurant, run by charming people and absolutely worthy of a Michelin star- I am sure that they will achieve one before too long."

Le cadre est magnifique les oies à proximité au milieu de la forêt ... des notre arrivé une rillettes de canard nous est servie gracieusement sa fait toujours plaisir ... les menus sont de très bon rapport qualité prix ! Les produits son excellent les serveurs sont agréable et professionnels MAIS ce restaurant est peu être victime de son succès beaucoup de monde de bruit les serveurs cours tout le long du repas sa fait un peu usine dommage ."

"Lovely campsite 15 mins by car from Sarlat. Good selection of pitches. Owners very welcoming and helpful. Of the near 100 pitches only dozen or so we're occupied as we went before the main season started so it was very peaceful. The facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained. We had a really lovely week here with so much to do fairly locally with a car as transport. Highly recommended fir last week if June. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value"
