"We were initially sat upstairs but as others have noted, it's inadequately ventilated and filled with the kitchen fumes so we sat downstairs which was normal. Although we were the only two people in the restaurant, we didn't get the starter for and 40 minutes and the main course took another 30 to arrive. Both main dishes didn't arrive at the same time meaning that the naan and rice was cool by the time the sending dish was there. The food itself was good quality but you are put off by the relative lack of interest the staff seems to have for you. Whilst we were there, they were serving some other irrate takeaway customers who had been told their food would be there at a given time but had to wait 45 minutes. They were given free deserts to quell their pain. We weren't so lucky... Sort out the staffing or refuse to take some takeaway orders if you can't adequately serve people in the restaurant (although they seem to have been keeping no one happy that night!) But I'm not going to try this place again for as few years."
In pleasant weather you can even eat in the outdoor area, and there is free WLAN.

"Not sure why it gets so many bad reviews. Food was good fairly plain but I prefer that to heavily salted spiced, service was fine, the only issue was that it was noisy as it was well patronised. I'd go again for sure."

"We were not sure what to expect when we booked on the basis of the reviews, but we were so glad we did. the service was from beginning to end so warm and friendly and genuine. each dish we had was amazing. when the meal begins with “bread h fat butter with chicken skin crumbs” they know they are for a gourmet treatment! mushroom toast incredibly delicious. hang cock sensational (like suppensuppe! jerusal artichokes with fresh table sides shaved local truffles the best artichoke I had. müll with burnt saw wow! lamb shoulder beautiful tender and tasty. the ISO bomb was the bomb perfect to finish incredibly delicious. we want to come back to try all the other dishes on the menu. highly recommended!"

"We visited Shiraaz on a recent trip to Geelong convinced it was affiliated with the delicious Melbourne restaurant of the same name. We were apparently wrong about the connection but the meal was enjoyable enough. I did find the tandoori chicken and chaat quite spicy for my palette and needed to request some yoghurt which wasn’t the easiest thing to do given the lack of attentiveness from the staff. Fortunately I managed to procure some before catching fire and I found the butter chicken far more manageable heat wise"
