"This fish & chip joint won't win any awards for serving up genuine British fare, but I don't think they are trying to. They do a pretty good job at being a basic family run operation. It looks like takeout orders overwhelm the in-house orders. Still, servicing the takeouts didn't seem to slow down the delivery of food to our table. Everything was hot and fresh out of the fryer.The batter is thin and tasty and the fish is moist and meaty. I tried the scallops as well and they were pretty good. It's a small restaurant, with all of the makings of a 1970s era family rec room, including the framed family photo on the wall. The next step in expansion here would be to spruce the place up and add pies to the dessert menu. But, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. Everybody seems to be happy with the way things are. I know we were."

"We will generally get a two or three item meal with noodles and then share the plate. The food is good and the portions are decent. Always a good option for lunch."

"Of course, this restaurant on the 8th floor has some fantastic views of Lake Ontario across to the Toronto skyline. This evening the lake was extremely rough so we were able to enjoy the power of Lake Ontario in bad weather. We started out with a calamari appetizer which we shared which was really enough for two. One of the specials offered (there were three) was Patagonian Sea bass. I have tasted some delicious sea bass on the East coast of the USA and some really bad sea bass at an upscale Niagara Falls restaurant some three weeks previous. Was anxious to see how this meal would turn out. Well, it was just fabulous! The fish was at least an inch think and still SO FLAKY.....topped with a lemon butter and caper sauce and some cocoa nut and salsa.....absolutely delicious. Came with a choice of rice pilaf, garlic mashed and fingerling potatoes....I opted for the fingerling....good choice. Also accompanied by a nice veggie medley. My husband had the osso bucco which he also quite enjoyed. Wine by the glass was very reasonably priced for a generous serving. One small complaint...the cappuccino machine was not working...and this didn't seem to be unusual. Would have loved to end a delicious meal with a good cappuccino. Service was attentive and they had a singer at the piano playing dinner music. Great experience all around."

"Granted it's a snowy day without a lot of traffic but I still expected the food would be edible. $10 and I threw it out and opted for Tim Hortens instead. Clearly a better choice"
