"This place is still the best for steaks! I'm from Kalamazoo and ours closed way before the pandemic hit. Our first waitress was an absolite sweetheart, fast and efficient! I've been there twice so far, my Trash Can was on point, and the second waitress was also fast, friendly, and efficient...she reminded me of a young Jodi Foster (she's only 18 and had no clue as to who she was lol) she promised to watch some of her movies so we could discuss them on our next visit! Overall very pleased"

"The best breakfasts are the ones shared with friends. That’s why so many breakfast places are busy, because people have reason to gather. So the name of The Gathering Place is apt. It’s one of the many breakfast spots where friends, families, and colleagues come together over a good meal. The Gathering Place is located in Cascade... I’ve been driving by it for years but have never visited, so when Mrs. Breakfast w/Nick and I wanted to meet friends for breakfast over the holidays, it was an easy choice. I expected in the interior to be fancier, I think from my impressions of the outside. Not to say the decor is bad – it was just more rustic than I expected."

"This review is based on a dinner, dine in experience. While in Grand Rapids me and my family visited Target for a few items we left at home. While there we chose to eat somewhere close by. We pulled into the parking lot and found there to be plenty ofparking available. There were some outdoor dining spots, and who doesn't love noodles?! Upon entering there were a few people inline, however it seemed fast to order. When it was our turn to place our order we started and an employee walked over andinterrupted us by asking us to wait for a few minutes so they could catch up. So..we waited. Once we ordered the food only tooka few minutes to come up. The food was hot, and fresh. I ordered the Buffalo Mac n Cheese. It was pretty good, not mind blowing,but good. Overall I'd say this is a fair place to visit for a meal. Restaurant had a lot of smudged windows and some tablesneeded cleaned. Food: 3 Stars Employees: 3 Stars Cleanliness: 2 Stars"

"I'll travel one-way for this pizza for two hours if that gives you an idea how good it is. Buddy uses Daiya vegan cheese. The crust on her Detroit style pizzas is to die! Buddy's has a long list of gourmet toppings such as artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, basil. Buddy's salads are HUGE. A regular salad is more than enough for two people. They're also delicious. "Great experience here, the chef put on a better show than I had in a dae! the salat has, I think, a peanut dress instead of the usual ginger dress, but it was too salty for an salat for my lust. chef made a great show and the whole food was fantastic! the server was also very attentive to our water replenishment."
