"This is a great alternative to the more famous restaurant across the street, and the river, in La Punt-Chamuesh. It is very professionally run by husband and wife and it has also a dozen or more rooms for guest. The restaurant has rooms very...tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable. The menu is not extensive: has some pastas with local ingredients, some engadin offering like capunz, outstanding beef and lamb, some fish from the sea and the lake and exquisite desserts. The wine list is not extensive but excellent and there are many choices of wine by the glass and various size carafe. Far less expensive, for Switzerland, than restaurants in the valley that offers first class cuisine, and more informal. Highly recommended"

"A real effort to reach here, but it is worth it. We came from Corvatsch. It was a fantastic walk. Hospitality is wonderful food much nicer then what you can get in St M. Simple, clean, but a little cold (in summer). Great views all the way down the Roseg valley of the lake. You can get bicycles from Roseg Hotel to Pontresina when you get there before 6:00. Enjoy"

"I was at the samaden hirschen for the sant'ambrogio bridge, and turning around the surrounding areas in St.Moritz I found this restaurant. the location is not bad, the place is kept very well, the kitchen (which I saw at the will of the chef) is very wide and spacious, well maintained and especially clean. the dishes offered by the house are the typical ones of the place, the card at the entrance is in German but fortunately both waiter and cook know Italian and can translate for all those who have no familiarity with the language. the best tried dish was the chicken to the white wine, very good and well implanted, also the pasta to carbonara typical italico dish was very good, the pasta was made in the house and the egg was neither too liquid formed the annoying white lumps, the beer served was also excellent. I have to congratulate the young chef of only 20 years for the excellent lunch wishing him the best things for the future. by concluding advice to all those who are in the area to go at least once to thehirschen!"
