"Recommended by friends, they weren't wrong. What a fantastic place to eat, the menu was varied with a good choice. The food itself, lamb meatballs with tomato sauce and calamari for starters, followed by paella and Sirloin Steak (served with the biggest steak knife I have ever seen) all 4 dishes were cooked to perfection, tasted fantastic and could not be faulted. The staff were very attentive without being overbearing, service was ideally spaced between the courses. Great meal, thank you"

"Lovely to see this wonderful little Pub thriving again. It's been under a number of managers since we moved to the Village 22 years ago. The Timothy Taylor Landlord was SO good I filled in a CAMRA Tasting Card. Considering I only popped in to use the facilities on my way home from dropping my bike off for a service... So glad I did."

"Booking hour before dinner on a Friday night is possible and is thoughtful. honored by friendly employees they are placed in the bar area that has seen better times. served drinks in dirty glasses make them want to stand up and there and then. after sitting on a rocky look to be disappointed only further by the view of mismatched cutlery and close to enough stale brot. not very French from my memory. the main meal comes with burned kartoffels either hole or maic does not play any role. from the meat tasting plate of different meat only the lamb on the place do not actually justify the price of the teller. the duck with orange missing the taste...read more"

"For the 3 cursor meal for £9.95 (I think) loses a star as one of the courses is the appatiser of poppadomen and chutneys that they always get in their meal anyway, and only 2 poppadome. starter and porn were very tasty, very well cooked pilaureis, curry was very tasty and got the rest to take, was tried to take more couples as she was was wasting a lot and hating eating. the waiter was very attentive and made sure we were okay and made sure we were good for drinks when we were empty. the wobble chutney, tomato chili sauce (not sure what it is, but love it) mint sauce and mago were perfect, but unfortunately the lime pickle was not very nice. I had this type before the Asian gang in asda and has a paraffin taste is all I can think. pataks and sharwoods are the best of my opinion. Very fast at cooking and serving which I always prefer in a restaurant, as I lose my appetit quickly between meals/snacks. Pity there are no real pints on the train, although the payment is around £2,50 for a bottle blackmailed when asda is a few meters away and a box for not getting much more. all in all I think that 4 stars are really good and that was eating by the way, I see a few bad reviews for takeaway and delivery that is unhappy, how id like to try that too. I would definitely go back and look forward to it, but would not order the vindaloo next time, because my may not see any more about such curry can handle.."
