"The one star is for service. Can't rate food as we never ate any. Walked in and there were two other couples at tables. I think one of them had their food. 1/2 hour later we got our wine and water and our order was taken. After a while the second couples food was delivered and they ate. The gentleman paid the bill and when he got the receipt, he realized they had been over billed or billed for something they didn't get. So another person was called to try to settle the dispute. After one hour of our time the food was delivered and the waitress promptly spilled a whole glass of water into my wife's purse. At this point we walked out never to return."

"On Pinehurst Property: Good food at the Holly Inn at within Pinehurst. Cool room and vibe. Steak and seafood menu has lots of options. What surprised us was the spotty service. On two occasions, it was not four star service. Food was generally very good steaks and seafood. Had to send one soup back. One lead server had to read everything from her specials menu and mispronounced a number of menu items. Our servers at the nearby Carolina Room were always great. Very different experience. The woman who seated us was very professional and on point. Somm was also friendly. However, servers need to be held to a much higher standard to retain four diamonds. Food Service 1/2 Decor Menu Prices As Expected"

View of lake and 18th hole of No. 7 at Pinehurst for both Inside and outdoor deck seating.Friendly and well trained staff with comfortable seating.Good back bar for post golf refreshment.Menu always has fresh seafood, home mDe soups and to order salads.Only minor complaint is limited wine list. What they have is good but could use Captains List for special occasions.Our favorites include the grilled Pork chop, Scollops, baked chicken, the daily Pasta specials and of course homemade ice cream for desert.Always a spiritual lift to any day."

"We ordered a corned beef sandwich, after a few bites we discovered it wasn't corned beef, it was indeed roast beef. When questioned, the line cook told the server to tell us it was pastrami. It was NOT pastrami. We did not order roast beef nor did we order pastrami. We ordered corned beef. No need to lie about it. Never lie to a customer about the food you are serving them and certainly dont tell them that it's something else entirely. Period. But should you need to, save it for someone who doesn't know the difference. Also, microwaving cheese on a crock of onion soup doesn't make it French onion soup. It just makes it onion soup with microwaved cheese and the menu should reflect that. Lastly, the fried green tomato caprese was decent, and surprised me with a sprinkle of cilantro, which made my tastebuds sing, but it should be served with drizzled balsamic glaze, not a ramekin of cheap, below- grade balsamic. Also, red tomato was tasteless and mealy. Try this nonsense in Waffle House, not a dining establishment in the beautiful area of Pinehurst, where people have a more developed palette."

"Wonderful people who serve amazing food!! Our dog was at a nearby park with a fire att and the ladies made a back soda solution for its bite to facilitate the itch. Very friendly and generous people. The terrace seats are REALLY beautiful and the music is great! I had the hummus and grilled veggie... phenomenal!!! I wish we lived closer, but they get our business every time we're in town! Try them out! You will not be disappointed!"
