"Salt and pepper ribs were the best I've ever tasted. The main course of special curry and fried rice was a big let down. Chicken was ok but wasn't sure if the other thing was supposed to be beef or pork. It was more like a slice of jelly and most probably came from a tin. The curry sauce was tasteless. My partner had chicken in blackbean sauce and was very disappointed as the food was tasteless. She said the chicken was like processed chicken. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30"

"Just look at the photos! This is a MUST stop if you are on a bike ride before heading up to the Brecon beacons. Huge burgers and very friendly staff. Catered fantastically well to a large group of cyclists and we were made to feel very welcome. Much recommended to all our friends."

"Really beautiful ambiente in a century old building in a beautiful location at the river. the outer had suffered a bit of storm damage, but in it it is warm and welcoming. the small menu is full of fresh ingredients, the local cattle burger was excellent and risotto beautifully prepared. nantyffin koch is clearly talented, we enjoyed our lunch"
