"First time trying. Was Super Impressed by layout, signage and SERVICE!!! Pastel Chalk that Highlights some of their Menu Items is Inviting. I went straight for the Spicy Chicken Tamales, 1 doz $12.99, and BOOOYYYY!!! THEY ARE GOOD!!! YEP! YES SIRREE!!! Good amount of meat, tasty, moist masa. I can eat the entire Dozen solo. Yep, but my wife would prolly... They have a full menu with desserts also. I sampled the Guisado and it was Delicious!!! While I waited, for my Tamales, Chris gave me a Free unsweetened ice tea. Great on a Really Hot Texas day. DEFINITELY GOING BACK!!!"

"Editing my review as of today from a 5 star to 1 starQuality of the staff has gone majorly down hill. They didn't have anything together today and folded a burrito like a taco. The staff was not kind expect for 1 person. This location has gotten worse as time has gone onThe drink station has multiple options nit working and the lemonade has had 2 not working for weeks. And the worker just spilled lemonade everywhere and walked away and never cleaned it upOrginal review:Staff is kind and helpful"

"I've never had a bad dining experience at Abuelo's. My wife and I have eaten at Abuelo's since our college years in Abilene (my favorite location). The only negative thing ever about Abuelo's is when they stopped making dessert nachos. Those were so delicious. I'm a creature of habit and generally always get Mi Abuelo's Manjar but have ventured out in the past and have been pleased."

"Food was good and reasonably price, of course we got off the lunch menu lunch enchiladas and the Mexican stack, and my daughter and husband got a plater and burritos and they said it was good. I do think drinks are on the pricey side. My premium beverage was a strawberry lemonade for 4.29. They do offer military discount and that's a plus. This may be one of the better Mexican restaurant in Dallas."

"Horrible service and there's no liquor license! I was really wanting a margarita or at least a beer but even the soda was $4. They also didn't understand anything I said. Definitely not going back. Nothing like the actual place. At least sneak some tequila in the soda. How hard can it be?"

"Went in with a smaller appetite so I ordered a quesadilla plain with cheese and as a side asked for salsa, guacamole and sour cream. They wanted $12. I just saw the kids meal quesadilla on other reviews and posts online and they get rice beans and meat as sides and it's $4? How does this make any sense?! I walked out because if you've ever been to a grocery store, you know you can get all the above ingredients I ordered for less. How was my boyfriend's double chicken burrito $9 and they wanted $12 for one torn up tortilla a handful of cheese and half an avocado mashed up?Also, my usual order is a veggie burrito, beans rice cheese veggies lettuce guac sour cream and green salsa. That's wayy more food than the effed little quesadilla and it's $8. How?? Like come on!!"
