"Words cannot describe this place, right from the word go we were the first ones through the door and we were welcomed by several various members of staff which set the tone for the night! The waiters and waitresses were perfect all night along with the wine pourer giving bang on descriptions of each paring.. The food was outstanding and each dish literally took our breaths, compliments to all the chef and the team for making my birthday meal as perfect as could be! Fine fine dining just without the London prices! Perfect atmosphere and layout I can't fault anything!"

"Recently visited Royal Watan to experience Kashmiri food. The food was good and very tasty. We ordered prawns, rogan josh, naan, tawa chicken and potato chicken. I particularly liked the prawns. The place is really busy and famous so expect some delay in getting your order. But they offered papadama to fill that time. Overall a good Kashmiri food experience."

"The restaurant has been a family favourite for quite a few years but they have taken the opportunity created by lockdown to upgrade both the interior of the restaurant and the menu. The setting is more contemporary now, but still friendly and welcoming and there are some more unusual dishes on the menu. Our group of sampled several of the new menu additions and all were lovely. I especially enjoyed the South Indian Chicken Curry. Another welcome addition is the draft Purity Longhorn IPA as an alternative to lager; a good choice considering how much real ale and craft beer is now available in Stirchley. What's not to like when a firm favourite improves even further!"

"If stingy has a restaurant it would be this place. I thought I’ll support my own people by ordering here. The meat tikka biryani is really disappointing. 99% rice and a few little cubes a meat, if I recall 6 tiny cubes of meat. The Balti was just bad. This cooking is usually a chef that doesn’t have a clue what his cooking. The man just put gerabi (veg stock) with a few chicken pieces. No spices. The lamb chops were just over cooked and was rushed. Bengali will call this restaurant ‘koingish ghoro koingish’. Never order again."
