"My husband and I stayed here during our Camino trip and this was the only hotel we found in this area. Manuel, I believe he is the owner/receptionist who was kind and hospitable. It's two star hotel and we didn't expect much about it but a room and a bathroom were clean, with a nice size balcony. Bonus was a nice swimming pool after a long day walk. It was a treat for sure. There was not much around the area so we ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel. Food was exceptionally good with local cuisine. One of the food to try in Portugal was Seafood Rice and we had that one and a skewer of squid which came with other seafood on it. The total cost with 1 and half bottle wine and bread, olives, and pate with the food was 40 Eruo. What a gem in this little town!"

"We visited this for an evening dinner, and boy, I'm glad we did.The food was to die for, which covered all kinds of seafood available.We had prawns and snails for starters; well enough to feed 20, rather than the 10 at our table.Following this came, mussels, mussels in a wine-based sauce, all accompanied with the most delicious warm bread, which you just couldn't stop eating.Then desserts arrived. Well a fantastic selection of five different local dishes which were just to die for!Would go back here in a flash, and would recommend anybody close to them to schedule in a visit."

"Many restaurants along the Camino offer program menus. These can be as cheap as five euro per person. However, the five-year-old males often are mostly french fries and rice, with a little meat and a tiny bowl of soup. And no beverage included. But dinner at Restaurante Oliveira Velha was elegant and well presented, with good quality food and good portions. For 9 euro it included a well-made salad or soup, main course, lots of wine, and coffee. It was quiet, well decorated, with good service.and the quality of food was better than most pilgrim meals."
