"With a backdrop of Mount View and surrounding vines from Tinklers, Nanna Kerr’s first impression is quintessential Hunter Valley. Sweeping hills, rustic timber dwellings and the promise of home-style wholesome food, from those beaming with warmth and open arms. The greeting at Nanna Kerr’s is welcoming from scene and staff. This alone lays a solid foundation to a great experience, but sadly stops here. I find the menu confusing. Breakfast is all day, and so is lunch, and so I don’t understand the separation between pages. The coffee is weak and watery and visiting on what seemed like an understaffed day, you may be waiting some time if there ever is repeat. I think the Cuban sandwich is confused with a rhyming Reuben, although nonetheless delicious. The corned beef has a very slightly sweet yet meaty flavour, and with the kraut, cheese and oddly mixed brioche, it’s a satisfying decision, despite leaving some others with food regret. There’s little to the mushrooms and broad beans aside from a pretty presentation. The broad beans didn’t seem cooked and there was little flavour in the whole dish aside from the chunks of feta. Despite being in operation for little more than a year across two venues they still seem to be finding their feet. I’ve never come across a café that stocks both almond and rice milks, yet no skim. This is a large part of the market so why cater to the much smaller ones yet not the middle ground? The venue is stunning, the staff have a lovely vibe, but the execution is behind the times."

"What a nice experience it was visiting this place. Staff are nice and friendly. Nothing was to hard for them. The cheeses are all amazing. Every one we got to taste for FREE, was delicious. We ended up buying approximately 13 different cheeses. Just can't wait to get home to get stuck into them. Toilets were very clean."

"I attended Lovedale Long Lunch on 20 May 2017. This was the third time I have attended the event. I really enjoyed the first two times however this last time was appalling it has turned into a feral festival type event for young idiots to get ridiculously drunk. There were a number of fights while at Wandin Valley Winery. It is definitely no longer about promoting the beautiful Hunter Valley, the great wines and good food. In fact, if you enjoy lining up for wine for an hour or more and trying to avoid drunk idiots, then Lovedale Long Lunch is for you!! Whilst at Wandin Valley Estate Winery there were signs up indicating no bottles of wine would be sold after 3:00pm. I lined up to purchase a bottle for an hour when the signs were suddenly removed (it was 2:40pm at the time) and everyone in the line was told they could only purchase by the glass. As I had lined up to buy a bottle I did not have mine and my husband 's plastic Lovedale glasses with me and was told I had to purchase two new glasses if I wanted to buy wine at $5 per glass!!!! I will not be attending the event again and I will not be recommending the event to any of my friends or family. The same thoughts were echoed by everyone else on the bus that I travelled to and from Lovedale on."
