"We arrived in Ixtapa on Saturday, and for lunch on Sunday we happened upon this little bar. The weather was sweltering, but the fans were running, and Vicki was tending bar. She makes the best lime margaritas and the best mango margaritas! The cook was...available too, and seafood is the only thing on the menu. Fish tacos and shrimp tacos (pescadillas and camaronillas) are to die for. They are crispy, pan-fried little pockets of absolute deliciousness! Tiritas are also on the menu, a version of ceviche that was amazing! The bar is open everyday, but the cook is only there weekends, and Friday too I think. He's an older gentleman, and he really knows what he's doing! Do not miss this place"

"Marisco's seafood is not only served at the marina harbor, but at the Ixtapa Palace, the castle in limed white, across the street from Emilio's. This the best seafood with the least pretensions in Ixtapa. It is mostly frequented by people living there. There is...a fish tank as you enter. The indoor dining is brightly lighted so if you want romance choose the outdoor area by the flares. The Red Snapper Vera Cruz was wonderful. My husband said the seafood platter was the best he had ever had, it had lobster, shrimp, crab, langistino with bacon, red snapper and octopus with rice and vegetables for pesos, a steal."

"We arrived at Playa Linda and wanted to go across to the island. Chino welcomed us and offered a ride. He was not pushy or aggressive and was friendly. He chatted with us and took good care of us one we got to the island....The water taxi dock guys were overly aggressive for tips. We had beautiful pineapple drinks and a tray lunch. Beware of the bees and wasps..... Other than that, this was a cool experience. Chino made out day"
