"Animated restaurant with a wide selection of local dishes. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Good selection of vegan options also. The description on the menu is limited (sautéed mushrooms), so it was a wonderful surprise when the dish of wild mushrooms, crispy onions and tomatoes arrived. Very delicious."

"After an ascent of the Los Reales peak and a long drive through the Sierra Bermeja Natural Park we paused in Gaucin for a late lunch. The restaurant is only a few metres from the curious junction towards Manilva and we had to drive by and return to find a parking spot. The outdoor tables opposite the restaurant command a fantastic view over the valley below and the waiters negotiate the humped crossing to serve food. We chose a variety of tapas and each one had its own distinctive taste. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing that way."

"We happened upon this place and stayed for a fabulous breakfast. Efficient and friendly staff, and it's tucked away with plenty of shade. It's easy to relax for a few hours without being chased to leave. We had Gambas pil pil on our second visit, which was so good we had to go back a third time for more.!"

"We went into El Hacho for a refreshing drink after a long walk,we sat outside for minutes without any service and then we were told to go to the terrace by an angry waitress,the view over a sports complex was ok but not outstanding!!!!...We were not made to feel welcome and our waitress could not wait for us to leave it seemed!!! We asked for the bill and were surprised to find it was almost double what we had paid in every bar/restaurant in Gaucín for the same drinks,but feel we have learned a valuable lesson,we will never go to El Hacho again! We have stayed in Gaucín for the last fortnight and this village is absolutely perfect but I felt that this bar has left a bad taste in our mouth shame on you El Hacho!!!!"
