"Oh little I knew before ordering the 'café glacé ' as a dessert. But first things first. La Cena is an Italian restaurant in Marly, a 14 minute bus ride away from Fribourg train station. The first impression after being seated: casual, welcoming, not crowded nor empty, very relaxed atmosphere. Perfect to spend a nice evening. Since it 's autumn, I opted for 'la chasse ', wild duck to be more precise and fagottini to start. Both dishes were delicious and highly recommended. All of this combined with a bottle of devilish Pinot Noir called Lucifer. But after all the good food there was still this temptation... for that little extra. Tiramisu... or café glacé... hmm tiramisu... maybe.. no, let 's keep that for next time. By the way, thanks to the friendly waitress to be so patient while I was going through my lengthy decision process. But hey, café glacé it was... but the little extra turned out to be a very big extra. Oh, generous they are, and struggling I was... but I succeeded in eating it all...mmm. I even found some space left for a limoncello... or two. Overall, a very pleasant experience. So if you 're in the neighborhood of Fribourg/Marly and want to have some tasty food in a casual setting: La Cena is definitely worth a visit. Update: Ok, I really had to try the tiramisu. So I went back. Obviously, not just to eat a dessert but also to try another dish. This time I opted for a piece of Pumba (a.k.a. 'sanglier ' or a wild well, not so wild anymore once served on a plate p|g) and risotto as a starter. As expected, both dishes were really good. Although I personally preferred the wild duck which I had last time. Regardless, I don 't think you can make any bad choices when it comes to 'la chasse '. But back to that tiramisu... well, for sure it 's less of a challenge compared to the huge café glacé. Even better, I think I need to stop claiming that I don 't like tiramisu 'tout court '. The chef of la Cena has proven that I actually do like it... I just wished it had the same size of the café glacé because... it 's delicious! Update 14.02.2023: The food at La Cena is consistently good, tasty, original Also for special menus like the one on Valentine’s day. Already looking forward to the next visit."

"J'ai plusieurs fois été mangé dans ce charmant restaurant,que ce soit le personnel ou la patronne,l'accueil est très chaleureux.Chaque fois que j'ai mangé,soit le menu soit à la carte,j'ai toujours été satisfait sauf une fois avec du filet de perche.Nous étions 5 ,une personne a prix de la viande,bien lui en prix car nous autres avec notre filet de perche qu'elle déception !ce n'est vraiment pas bien cuisiné (à notre goût en tout cas).Autant ne pas faire un produit que l'on ne maîtrise pas!!J'y retourne avec plaisir et vais y amener des amis..."

"We planned to go eat a fondue there with some family. As we were a 7 people, we called in the week to book a table for the week-end. They told we don 't make reservations, we only server food to walkers coming to us. So we just walked there on Sunday (30-40min from La Berra) and when we arrived a little after 13h30 and asked for fondues they said we don 't make any hot meals anymore, we had a lot of people today, you can only have sandwiches. You should have made a reservation. What? And when our sandwiches finally arrived (God, it took time to prepare so complicated a dish), the chef told us sorry it takes a long time, it is difficult at the end of the day. Yeah, 13h45 is really late... So I would not advise anyone to go eat there..."
