"Served by the owner and she was engaging, welcoming and knowledgeable. Restaurant was spotlessly clean, a real effort had been made to get local beers and the environment was laid-back and informal. Food was also marvellous, a large calzone that was reasonably priced and an interesting Limoncello dessert. Would definitely come back."

"A lovely drive up to woo lee and we came across The Tankerville Arms. It was a huge yes from the moment we turned into the car park, a huge sign Dogs Welcome we order Sunday lunch, roast beef for him and nut roast for me…. I have to say it was the best Sunday roast we have had in a long while. All home made and fantastic portion sizes and great quality ingredients. You can really tell how much the guys here care about what they do. Well worth the visit."

"My second visit today and I was not disappointed! drive all the way from gateshead to have a milkshake and a cake. I was not going far from the milkable and ruined my wheel on the way home my milkshake cheated me in any case! 100% visit again, hopefully the rat fix the potholes until then"

"Best coffee we’ve had all week Food was perfect, so fresh tasty. The cakes available looked amazing. Pricing was easy on the pocket which is always a bonus considering how much we have paid elsewhere this week. I wish we’d found this gem sooner as would’ve visited again. Lovely couple running it, so friendly. Obviously a favourite with the locals too as had some regulars turning up and the welcome and social chat was lovely to witness. High praise for this gem and highly recommended."

"Stopped off in Wooler on our way up to Edinburgh at the end of August. After viewing all the cafes and pubs we decided on this one. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Service good. Food was excellent. We were just in time to get the breakfast. I’m very fussy and couldn’t fault it. We are off up to Edinburgh soon and will be calling in again. I highly recommend it."
