"Simply the best. Fish is very tasty and chips are great. They may take a while for your order but that is because they cook everything as you order it. No reheated food here.. Wish you were our local fish and chip shop we would be there all the time! As it is we travelled miles to visit the area again just so we could have your fish and chips! Reasonably prices too!"

"We are not in cheddar and went here to take my oma for a 90th birthday dinner. they wrote her a handwritten card and gave us 50% off the whole order! amazing fresh and damp fish in delicate teig, and huge portions we eat a lot and we couldn't finish it all! amazing, friendly customer service, people with whom they can lead a real talk, and with a nice sense for humor. would always go again!"

"First night the food was sublime, could not fault a thing. Second night it was so bad I sent it back; watery, plain, bland, lack of seasoning- very disappointing. I also wouldn't have paid for the breakfast if it was not included in the room...rate."

"Nestled in a beautiful location. Staff are all friendly, welcoming, attentive. Modern decor. Food was incredible! Huge portions, fresh, full of flavour. Menu caters for all dietary requirements. I had the goats cheese vegetarian burger which was divine. The garlic bread was juicy, the onion rings crispy and moreish. My partner's fish was fresh and succulent. Amazing atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough. We were lucky to get a table was we booked last minute. This is really popular so book in advance. Really happy we happened upon this during our visit. Lots of happy families dining, inclusive of all visitors."
