"Dinner on a Saturday night. After reading other reviews I selected this restaurant in front of others in the area. Others have described the intimate setting and family friendly nature well but I disagree on a lot of other points. In a nutshell I felt like we'd gone back in time to the 1970's when Asian cuisine was new to the naive Australian palette. The food, whilst beautifully presented and embued with appropriate texture strangely lacked flavour. It felt like inauthentic Thai built for Australians. I had veg. springrolls and a country salad and my companion moneybags and the sizzling scallop stirfry. Nothing amazing, salad was like a Gado Gado complete with tinned pineapple, and the sizzling plate didn't sizzle. The decor is tacky a weird row of chairs lines the walk way to the toilets behind the kitchen. Service friendly and prompt but some problems with English. Price hurts $82 for two excluding drinks. Vegetarian options good. I like supporting local business and the experience was entertaining so on those grounds recommend giving it a try. Score out of 5. "Had lunch here today for the first time. Service is friendly and efficient. Younger staff members have better English. Partner had seafood combo with noodles which was good but boiling down the bottom. I had the beef teriyaki bento which was good although the beef...was very stringy, thin but large lumps so a little hard to chew. They also do a skin-off version of chicken teriyaki bento that I will try next time. One nice aspect of the bento is you can choose your favourite sushi roll to be included, and the raw salmon and avocado was very fresh. The atmosphere is very basic café with very limited seating and a couple of tables outside. e.g. there is one table stuck in the corner between the window and the coke machine where one person sits under a switchbox. There have obviously been problems with people getting up too fast as owners have stuck half a tennis ball over the corner of the box. For a Tuesday lunchtime this place was buzzing with activity. Value-wise we paid under $25 for 2 people and were both quite full and happy."

"We always get our Thai food from Kun Yao as it is always beautiful and tasty. We use to go Brown Rice in Edithavle, however have switched as we believe the food is better here. Some of the waitresses are not friendly and welcoming, however the food is excellent so that will not stop us from returning!"

"My husband and I had dinner at Manow Thai restaurant in February We reserved a table and were immediately taken to it as soon as we arrived. Drinks came swiftly. The waitress was a little slow to take our food order but that was...fine as the restaurant was quite busy. My husband ordered mango chicken and absolutely loved it. The chicken was juicy and the batter was crispy. He especially like the fact that the mango sauce was served separately. I ordered the pad satay hot plate. This was the hottest satay I have ever had in my entire life. I was really glad for the coconut jasmine rice. I would not order the satay again as it was too hot. Presentation of the food was very good. I would definitely go to this restaurant again as the food and service overall were good. The only negative is that the restaurant is fairly old and could do with an update."

"We went for our second visit this week. The food is delicious and hard to match or beat elsewhere. We ordered the same as the previous time as it was hard to beat and also good value. My only complaint is the size of the Roti serve (compared to the local Indian restaurant). Otherwise happy to return again soon!"
