"Der Weinhof Kappel ist ein stattliches Anwesen mit Hotel und Restaurant in Kitzeck direkt an der Durchgangsstrasse. Wir waren mit Freunden zum Abendessen im Restaurant.Das Restaurant ist relativ groß, aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auf der Speisekarte gibt es neben einem Menü auch ein eigenes vegetarisches Menü und auch eine gute "a la carte" Auswahl.Unsere Vorspeisen waren alle gut, von den Hauptspeisen waren wir aber bis auf eine Ausnahme enttäuscht und auf einen Nachtisch haben wir verzichtet.Bei den Vorspeisen haben uns die Tafelspitzsülze, das Carpaccio von der Lachsforelle, der Rohschinken vom Woazschwein (Schwein, das mit Woaz = Mais gefüttert ist) und auch die Rahmsuppe vom Ölkürbis gut geschmeckt.Bei den Hauptspeisen hat uns einzig das Saiblingsfilet auf Petersilienrisotto überzeugt. Das Woazschweinkarree war sehr durchgebraten und demzufolge auch sehr fest. Ebenso der Zwiebelrostbraten, dem auch ein paar mehr Zwiebeln ganz gut getan hätten. Das Lammkarree war grenzwertig durchgebraten. Geschmacklich hatten wir allerdings wenig zu beanstanden.Sehr unschön empfanden wir das Verhalten von Chefin und Servicepersonal gegen Ende unseres Abendessens. Die hatten am Nachbartisch eine lautstarke Unterhaltung mit - offenbar prominenten? - Stammgästen und haben andere Gäste, auch uns, mehr oder weniger ignoriert. Eine Unterhaltung an unserem Tisch war nur noch schwer möglich, unserer Rechnung mussten wir "hinterher laufen". Hoffentlich ein Einzelfall.Vor diesem Hintergrund - Qualität der Hauptspeisen und dem Lapsus im Service - fanden wir das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis auch nicht mehr als angemessen."
