"We decided to give Joeys a try after months. Our previous experience wasn't the best. On this occasion some of the staff who had left had returned and the service was much improved. The fish and chips were excellent and really fresh and hot.....If it stays like this we will be back. The tables were full, mid week on a cold Sept early evening."

"Took my wife, daughter and one of her girlfriends here for dinner. 3 out of 4 meals had to be the worst meals we have EVER had anywhere. My wife had the beef dip and fries, which consisted of extremely dry thinly sliced beef on a 5 inch sliced hoagie bun (and that's all no butter, mayo, nothing else on the bun) with an aus jus that tasted like a bouillon cube dissolved in way to much luke warm water I ordered a club sandwich with fries and it was even drier than my wife's with just barely enough of each ingredient to call it a club (the unripe tomatoes were at least left on the side and not placed on the sandwich).My daughter had the donair sandwich which she couldn't even finish as it was so bland and dry she had trouble swallowing it.Her friend had the chicken club burger and said it was ok.All this for a whopping $88 and change without tip (my wife and I did both have 1 adult beverage each in that price). Needless to say we will never be returning or recommending this place to anyone!!!!!!!!"

"I must say the food is always good at Open Range. We started going here years ago every Saturday night because their steak and crab special was When the price went up we started going every other weekend for steak and crab. And then...the price went up again and we went once a month. We went this past weekend only to discover that the steak and crab special is now Unfortunately that is way out of our price range when we have to drive out to Sylvan from Red Deer. We will probably not be returning to open range because of the price of this special which is why we always went!"

"If you like to sit at a pub and not eat or drink, this is the place for you! We walked in with our 3 year old and asked if minors were allowed and if we just sit first come first serve on the patio. We found an empty table, it was dirty, but the only one left, so that was no problem at all, we sat there. We sat there for 15 minutes before the table next to us left without being served. They said they had been there over 20 minutes. Then we saw another table complaining to the manager about being there for 30 minutes. Our server finally came, and made a joke about us sitting at a dirty table. She said she'd get something to wipe the table and menus, then ran away without at least asking us if we wanted a drink. She had walked past us multiple times. We waited another 5 minutes and then left. There were a couple other servers and it just seemed like they were just walking around. We should have known right away to leave when everyone looked grumpy and had no food and empty drinks.We came over to Hazzards and we have our drinks within the first 5 minutes, and it's just as busy."
