"I stayed with friends nearby and they said they would take me to a VERY good French restaurant. I was amazed to find this little restaurant in a small village and full with 20 people on a Saturday evening. We arrived at 7.15 and left at 10.15 - I love the leisurely pace French restaurants work. It's a husband and wife team with Alain doing the cooking and Christine serving all 20 guests with just a little help from another lady to tidy the plates etc. I had snails cooked in tripe (I prefer them in garlic I decided!), sea bass (not so much flavour), hot Camembert, and then pears in brandy ( the best part I decided!). My friends had chicken and sea snails for main course (tried one - a bit chewy!) My friends chose the wine and the bill came to €145 for the 3 of us. Maybe the food was a bit too "French" for me to give it an excellent score. The Gouraud's obviously take a great pride in what they do."

"Our hotel gives us a voucher for a reduction of 15.% when we eat in campanile restaurant. the service in the restaurant was friendly and it was 'buffet food'. they had the choice for cold or hot meals. we both cost. there was a large selection of cold dressed. the hot meals were not as good as expected. the fish has no taste, the meat was dry and the cannon was not good. the desserts were not special. for me this restaurant was a catastrophe. I will not go back!"

"During a business trip to France, I came across this on tripadvisor as a lunch choice prior to a meeting at CDG, and pleased to say it was an inspired choice! Although my French needs much improvement, we manage to communicate effectively (thanks more to my dining companion! with the staff/owners who were very welcoming, as was the food. Not being local, I’m not sure when I will get another chance to visit but if ever I am in need of somewhere to dine near CDG, I will definitely try to visit again."
