"We had never been to the south Melbourne markets, but were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We happened to be there on the 150 yr anniversary celebration. The place was packed! Simply Spanish limited their choice of dishes served which was a brilliant idea. They were able to serve heaps of people with good food and fast service. Like most people that day, we had the paella and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back on a more normal day to taste more of the menu options."

"We were having an end of financial year social club function at the nearby La Dida. This started at 5pm so we decided to find a nearby venue for some pre-party drinks.We found Simply Spanish which has an happy hour from 3pm to 6:30pm. All beers (mainly Spanish) were $6. I tried the Estrella Reserva and Allambra and both were good.There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors with several outdoor heaters to keep warm.I noticed that they have a lunch special of $18 which includes a tapa, paella and a sangria or churro. I'm quite keen to try this in the next few weeks. They actually cook the paella outdoors in huge pans."
