"They have delicious food but I had to wait almost an hour to get my food. I placed an order to go and went over to a store to wait because it was very crowded. When I came back at the time it was supposed to be ready, they said they hadn't written down all my order. They were very apologetic. After another 20 minutes, they kept assuring me it was almost done. Numerous people had come in, sat down, got their food and a few had even left since I first arrived. Finally, my order came out and they offered me 10% off my meal or free cheese and I took the 10% because I had ordered cheese. I got home and the food was delicious, however, I should've taken the cheese seeing as how it was evidently something else they hadn't remembered to put down! Oh, well. Life goes on."

"It's not just a good restaurant for Georgetown. That's a good restaurant when it was somewhere in the country. First, the service is excellent. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. The food is creative, eclectic and locally produced. The selection of alcoholic beverages is wonderful, creatively also locally produced. I had the ham chopper with grits, roasted onions red eye engraving. Sounds fat, salty hard. It wasn't! The chop was the delicate smoked chop I've ever eaten, it's a very generous part. I could just eat 1/2. The Gries were delicious full of corn flavor. The red engraving had a strong coffee taste, but not transferred. The fried onion rings were really a nice touch, slightly ground, big, slices of fresh onion. I rarely eat pork only ham if I have no other choice. But this court showed me that I like ham, I like it well done without salting or smoking. My husband had the cattle straw. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The sauce was smooth, not excessively thick with the delicious stem of cream fraiche. The beef tips were delicately juicy, not over boiled hard. The bread pudding was excellent. Buttery, custard with bourbon sauce. Everything here is so good. This place is worth a visit to my favorite Georgetown restaurant. If you make the Bourbon Trail, add this restaurant to your list of places to stop."

"We eat a few times a month, sometimes more. This was one of the only places to eat during the pandemic and we were so grateful that they remained open. In our recent visit, Doug (Manager) was more than usual. He acted as our server and made a wonderful job. When we eat, some friends I haven't seen in a long time. After talking to us, he sat next to us so that we could continue our visit. One of the people in their party has food restrictions. Doug was helpful to get them the special food they needed to make sure that the kitchen staff when he placed the order in and when it was ready. He could assure the customer that the order was correct and safe to consume for them. Doug's not the manager who's just behind the counter. We have seen that he has the salad/hot bar, collecting tables, cleaning and any other work in the store. Sometimes the waiting personnel can be stressed by an eile and/or difficult customer. He is always encouraging while keeping his employees at his high standards. He needs time to engage customers in real conversations in the register and we all feel like friends of his when we go."
