"Very nice background music I love that they serve single portions of their spring rolls and egg rolls. They ran out of fresh rolls $2.95 for 1); how does that even happen at a Thai place? So, I got an egg roll also $2.95 for 1) instead; it was okay but wasn't great. It was small and the dipping sauce tasted like duck sauce with crushed peanuts. I got the green curry with chicken $19.95). It was oily, and the chicken was bland, tough, and overcooked. Vegetables were not prepared well; the peppers still had the fishy innards and seeds and the basil was stemmy. I got white rice $2 charged separately) and it was good, and a large portion. Both came out with the top layer cold. But luckily, it's a bowl of curry so mixing the hot under-layer made it warm enough to eat comfortably. I got some Thai hot tea $3 with free refills). "We ordered our food for delivery just after 5pm and were quoted a 45 minute wait. After an hour my husband called to inquire and was told that they were waiting on the delivery driver to return from the last delivery. They told us approximately 15-20 minutes. Another hour passed and we called again. Still no delivery driver and we were quoted another 1 hour wait, to which we were not amenable. She suggested we come pick up our food… our prepared food had just been sitting out at this point for 2.5 hours. We were not offered any compensation and they balked at refunding us. (It’s now been almost 4 hours and the food never arrived- we ate crackers for dinner after a hard day of moving. Totally disgusted with their lack of professionalism and customer service. F"

"The pandemic was particularly hard at restaurants and especially at one who specialized in a buffet. the people associated naturally in the restaurant and are around many people. during the pandemic they had to eat in the restaurant. I'm not going out much, but I just left twice. I have taken our family for a pre-ordered dinner of the duck. they have always made an extraordinary task to cook this particular product. everything else with our dinner was spectacular, including the duck that disappeared within minutes. My cousin is in town and we went on Sunday. they say they will open the buffet until midday. I ordered Mongolian bark that is my favorite dish. it would have been a little spicier for me with more green bevelling, but the taste was phenomenal. the service, the family feeling, all about it was about usrhe customers. it is so nice to see a family restaurant so eager to be successful and to succeed in giving them personal service. I encourage everyone to come by and bring those people back to business. they deserve it and eating is extraordinary that I almost forgot. the hot tee was so phenomenal that they had to catch me at the door, with their mug went out with him. I was a little embarrassed, or I thought they'd get me a pull-out cup. it was very light tee and no caffeine"

"It’s 2pm on Friday in downtown Fairbanks and Bill is running around like a madman, single-handedly taking orders, serving tables and topping up waters while somehow still managing to dish out straw-wand blessings to waiting diners. All-in-all, a fairly standard lunch service at Soapy Smith’s, if not a bit busier than normal with the ice carving championships due to start soon. (By busy, I mean the restaurant is at half capacity; this is Fairbanks after all."

"When you walk in you have the huge bar area to your left and a smaller area for the restaurant. the benches/seats in the booths have tears in them and the seating sinks down when you sit down as if you 're in a hole. service was good, hot food was hot. while the salad bar could 've been better for a steak house. what got me was being charged for a glass of water. i have never had this happen before. parking lot is riddled with potholes and mud."
