"Let me first say that I have been to this restaurant many times and no longer rave over it. But last night I had one of the most disappointing experiences in food. A reservation made on Tuesday and was not said that Saturday (last night) was Camp Week . I believe they have an agreement with a local camp to eat. We expected the same great food and service we have always experienced in this jewel of a restaurant. What a shock! The menu was so limited that it was only a choice of 4 participants (1 chicken,1 veal, 1 beef 1 fish) I felt as if I gave my order at a wedding!. And if I wanted to order chicken parm. I could have gone to Pizzeria. The server 's were good meaning, but amateurish (we were 4 people and I never got my appetizer). When they began to serve my wife's entree before we gave the pasta and I asked her the next thing I know that both courses come together (there was enough room for everyone on the table)! They could not even get the concept of a Dry martini (and I know that they usually have a fabulous bartender). The food was sufficient, but certainly not up to their usual standards and it would be ice in Hades if I had to wait to order coffee (we finally left without it). The prices in this facility are not for the flood of wallet and last night cafeteria experience was no exception, but before I have always thought that the experience was worth the price and usually tip to 30% for their wonderful service. When I got the bill, they were already good enough to add a 20% size to them!!! The disappointment would be a rough understatement. I understand what precautions they made with this camp (or whatever it is) can be good for the summer business, but at least they should advise their regular non-camp customers that they lower their usual high standards on certain weekends. It hurts me to write this review, but I think people should be aware of asking them if a reservation in the summer months."
