"Staff were lovely and looked after us and my elderly mum brilliantly. I liked the characterful individual decor in the rooms. It is on a road, so there's some traffic noise, but it didn't stop us getting a good night's sleep. Not for you if you are looking for seclusion, but it's a gem of a hotel in the heart of a very pleasant seaside town."

"Wanted a special lunch but so disappointing my wife ordered roast Turkey, I ordered the salmon. The Turkey was tasteless, she had 1 slice of parsnip, and carrot both roasted. A lump of stuffing, the Brussel sprouts were like bullets if one hit the window it might have shattered. She was not asked if she had a nut allergy as there were chestnuts with the sprouts . My salmon came it was okay but came with soft yolk eggs my fault I should have said no eggs) which were cold . We had two courses but should have one. As the sweets were okay but . Will be a while before we go back."
