"Forgot to review!! Not sure why as the people here are fantastic!! Before lockdown it was my mother's birthday, I live a hour away but wanted to surprise my mother. I dropped off balloons, a card and the young lady made a cake for my mum! They decorated the table as well, really fantastic hospitality."

"In all the places I've been to for food and beverages in Ystradgynlais this restaurant and bar is the best I've been to in the town. The food here is fantastic, a superb selection of draught beers including cocktails . As for the service overall its outstanding and second to none everytime I come here they're all very friendly but helpful. The first time I came here was back in December last year I had the Giant Breakfast with a caramel mocha the finest breakfast and flavoured coffees I've ever had. When I came here the second time it was for the quiz night I had draught Guinness and tapas. I must say the tapas was absolutely beautiful such a lovely selection the meatballs was the best. Then there was Choirs at The Con. I booked a table for two here at The Loaf for lunch at 12:00 despite the place being so busy and as one of my choristers was so tall in height to go upstairs Chris the owner/manager including his colleague Sarah very kindly found us a table downstairs on table 12 which was perfect. Although we had a 40 minute wait for our food to be served our burgers was delicious, but delightful. I'd like to thank both Sarah and Chris in taking the time to find us both a table downstairs it was really much appreciated diolch yn fawr I chi."

"What a terrific little find!!!!! Visiting friends in the local area and popped in for lunch. Friendly staff and a good vibe, plus delicious food, what more can you ask for!!! We were made to feel so welcome! Even had the bonus of singing behind the counter!! Definitely recommended"

"We ordered for collection, first time trying as we’re staying nearby. The aloo gobi was undercooked, the cauliflower was still quite raw and tough, very bland, tasteless. The chicken Saag was also very bland, the chicken was tough,no taste just bland. Partner had the biter chicken which was ok, disappointed as was looking forward to a decent curry after reading the reviews."
