"For a start this restaurant is called the Osteria del Borgo. We arrived late at night around 2130 and despite the hour were welcomed in a warm, clean and friendly interior which had clearly been restored recently. Of note were the toilet facilities which were outstanding in the basement. The staff were incredibly friendly and we had their antipast which were unusual all traditional Piemontese specialities filled with a variety of tasty herbs and cheeses. The menu is tradition Piedmontese of a kind that reminded me of my childhood home cooking when we had a Piedmontese cook from Robilante nr. Cuneo. We had excellent pasta with a game sauce washed down with good quality Barbera. Desert was 'bonet ' a classic. Altogether a most satisfactory experience. The restaurant is part of the Slow Food movement."
